It's time for one of my favorite sales of the year with Shopbop's "Event of the season." It's one of my favorite places to shop online, so I wanted to round up a few things I've worn recently included in the sale and share some other favorites. Just click on any image below to shop the item!! XO
I love a floral print, and these Autumn hues are to die for!! Do you have a Fall wedding coming up? If so, that's the perfect time to sport a pretty floral print! I've linked some of my favorite options below (all under $200!!) for a wedding, date night, or just because! Floral prints make me feel so feminine and flirty and that always makes us feel good, right?! I love wearing floral prints year round, especially during the cooler months, as they give my otherwise neutral outfits so much life! I hope you have a great weekend ahead! We don't have much going on, and I'm looking forward to hopefully a low key weekend! XO
Alright, y'all, you know my love for Target runs deep... real deep. And, just when I thought they couldn't get any better - BAM! I was checking my email a week or so ago, and I happened to open an email from Target promoting this new line. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes!! A 9-5, working woman's dream come true! Not only is this line great for us office dwellers, but it defines city chic with it's modern, versatile, and oh so affordable pieces!! I stopped into my favorite Target store just the other night and bought three pieces from the line (this shirt dress for the office, the dress I'm wearing in this post, and this statement coat!).
This post is in no way sponsored, but Target if you're reading this - I'm your number one fan!! When you work in an office environment where you constantly need to look put together and the dollars for the work wardrobe quickly add up - the Target gods come running!! I'm linking some of my favorite pieces from the line below! XO
Happy September and HAPPY FALL!! I realize it's not technically Fall yet, but the temperatures have dropped in DC and I'm planning to pull out all of my boots, cardis, and jackets this weekend! They are currently stored in our coat closet stuffed in the back corner of the rack to where I can't even see them. So, when I went to reach for a jacket this morning, I had to shift the entire rack just to reach that far back! The dream of having a huge closet... one day, y'all, ONE DAY!!
Anyways, as much as I struggle with the cold weather, it is one of my absolute favorite times of year for fashion! This entire look is from Zara, which is one of my favorite spots to shop this time of year! They kill it with their Fall/Winter pieces. Chic, affordable, and super on trend. I am linking a few similar options to this look below as well!
Keeping all of you in Hurricane Florence's path in my prayers! Luckily, it looks like it's headed south of DC now, so fingers crossed we are in the clear! Stay safe and lots of love to each of you!! XO
Happy Friday!! I honestly can't believe I'm posting about overalls. I realize they aren't the full on, tried and true blue jean overalls, but, if you would have asked me a few years ago if overalls would come back around - I would have laughed in your face! I'm easing into the trend with these wide-leg striped "overalls" before completely taking the plunge. I absolutely adore the fit of these as they feel more like a jumpsuit, which we all know I love a good jumpsuit!
What are y'all up to this weekend? My in-laws are flying into DC today for the weekend, so I am excited to see them and have some family time! The weather is supposed to be so nice here this weekend! The temps are slowly dropping along with the humidity and it's the answer to my prayers! I hope y'all have a great weekend! As always, thanks for stopping by! XO
Happy Monday!! The last few weeks I have been in search of some "mom jeans." While I'm not a mom yet, I've been loving this trend! I mean come on... the older I get, I must admit I'm all for some high-waisted, semi-loose fitting jeans! However, for some reason I have not been able to find any that look quite right on me until (drum roll, please!) I came across these!! I read rave reviews recently about this brand's denim shorts, so why I waited so long to purchase some of their jeans is beyond me. However, I'm glad I finally took the plunge. And, truth be told, I'm obsessed!! These jeans fit in all the right places and truly give off that "mom jean" look I've been going for! Next up, I'm going to snag these! You can shop more of my favorite denim picks below by clicking directly on the image!
On a completely different note, I wanted to mention the DBCR Junior Board Gala coming up on September 14th here in DC! The Junior Board provides an outlet for young professionals to put
their skills and talents to use and give back to their community by
supporting an educational cause. The board supports the Don Bosco Cristo
Rey High School, which is a unique school for students with limited
financial means that combines a college prep curriculum with
professional work experience to form a model that equips their students
with the necessary skills to grow into mature young adults ready for
college and success beyond what they ever imagined! Truly a great cause
and the gala proceeds help support this mission! If you are in the DC area, let me know if you
will be attending! You can get your tickets here!
Calling all Ole Miss fans!! This dress would be so perfect for The Grove! Pair it with some booties, wear it with or without a belt, and just add a long necklace (if wearing it without a belt) for one comfy yet chic gameday look! And, if you're wondering what the heck I'm talking about - at my alma mater, we get dressed up for football games! Clearly, I'm talking to the ninessss! Okay, not everyone, but if you ever visit Oxford, MS during football season, you'll see some wonderfully dressed southern women! Aside from football, this dress would be great for transitioning into Fall! This color blue gives me SO much life, and it is honestly one of my favorite hues! Did I mention this dress is under $25?! Say whattttt!!!! I hope y'all had a great weekend! It rained off and on here, but luckily the rain cleared up enough on Saturday that I was able to attend a bbq with some friends! Wishing y'all a great start to your week! XO
