All About Yellow

All About Yellow

Romper | Maxi Dress | One Shoulder Dress
Off-the-shoulder Top | V-neck Tank | Pompom Top

I honestly can't believe I'm writing this blog post, because yellow has NEVER been a color I've been drawn to or even worn for that matter. However, I cannot get enough of it this season! How amazing is that maxi dress?! I love the bright and happy vibes it gives off, and I especially love the breezy look of it. I have linked a few other yellow pieces I am loving below along with these! Wishing you a fabulous weekend! My in-laws are here in DC visiting us, and we are taking the train to NYC tomorrow morning for the rest of the weekend! As always, thanks for stopping by! XO

Colorful Embroidery

Top: Aqua Bloomingdale's (on sale for $51!) | Skirt: Topshop
Sandals: Steve Madden | Earrings: Vanessa Mooney
Clutch: Sold out, similar here

Embroidery is everywhere this Spring. I think when we saw these Gucci slides make their debut, it was no secret that embroidered pieces were going to take over the upcoming season. Cue this top... it covers it all with its major splashes of color, bold patterns, and distinct little details. It is giving me all of the vacation vibes!! I picked it up during the Bloomingdale's friends and family sale, and at first I was a little hesitant because it's so bright. But, after all, it is that time of year when my wardrobe is needing a major splash of color!

I have linked several other embroidered pieces that I'm loving below! Hope you have a great rest of your week! XO

The Winery at Bull Run

Dress: MLM Label (size down!) | Earrings: Baublebar
Wedges: Marc Fisher (size down a half size) | Bag: Gucci

Rosé all day, everyday... am I right?! Last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting The Winery at Bull Run with some fellow friends/bloggers (more on them below!) to preview their new rosé that debuts this Friday, April 28th. I have to be honest, I am not super familiar with the Virginia wineries. However, when we pulled up to this place, I was in awe! The inside featured a tasting room with meats, cheeses, dips, spreads, and fresh baguettes for purchase at the main bar. The grounds outside were beautiful with plenty of outdoor seating and the best part of all is that the entire place is completely family-friendly. Now that Spring is here and it's time to spend each weekend outside, I highly recommend a visit to this place! Seriously, the Virginia countryside that surrounds the winery is beautiful! The perfect escape from the city when you are needing a break from the hustle and bustle.

Lastly, if there's anything this blog has brought me over the last few months, it has been meeting some fabulous people in this city. So many of these girls are so smart with some serious drive and careers. Be sure to check each of them out below! Wishing you a fabulous week ahead! Cheers!! XO

Denim Mini Obsessed

Top: MLM Label | Belt: Gucci
Denim Mini: Topshop | Heels: Payless
Bag: Gucci (also love this!)

It was SO windy when we took these photos, so please excuse my windblown hair! However, I couldn't pass on sharing this look, as it combines a few of my favorite trends right now including the return of the denim mini (wahoo!!) and all things striped and light blue. Really, if I haven't convinced you yet that you need a denim mini (in black, blue, or white!!), just try out this one from Topshop and you'll be hooked! I decided to belt this one to bring in some black to make this look pop a little more, and I love how the belt and bag tie together the whole outfit! I hope you're having a great week so far! The weather we've been having here lately has left me in the best mood! I wish Spring would stay year round... no humidity, lots of sunshine, and continuous days in the 70's has been pure heaven!

Geometric Embroidery

Dress: Parker | Wedges: Marc Fisher
Bag: Gucci | Earrings: Baublebar

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great Easter weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful here, and it was so nice to be able to spend most of the weekend outside! Today's post is all about this dressed up off-the-shoulder chambray number with this fabulous geometric embroidery detailing from Parker. I scored this dress during the Bloomingdale's friends and family sale last weekend along with a few other things that will be hitting the blog soon. I am loving so many pieces from Parker's Spring line right now, and I've linked a few of them below for you. Parker has always been one of my favorite brands basically since my college days! I can remember getting one of my first paychecks after college and buying a Parker dress off of Piperlime (remember that website?!) to wear for the 4th of July. It was a proud moment! Anyways, this dress would be so cute paired with flat sandals too for brunch or with any type of wedge! I just purchased these Marc Fisher wedges, because I have been desperately needing a black pair of espadrilles to add to my collection. At first, I wasn't going to get them because well everyone has them... I know you've seen them all over Instagram lately! But, really they are SO worth it! If you order them though, I would suggest sizing down a half size!

Also, how gorgeous is this house in the background of these pics!? It is one of my favorite townhomes on Capitol Hill that I glance at everytime I walk to work. A girl can dream, right?! I hope you have a great start to your week, and as always thanks for stopping by! XO

Menswear Inspired Stripes

Top: Milly (55% off here but limited sizing) | Denim Mini: Topshop
Sandals: Payless | Bag: Gucci | Earrings: Vanessa Mooney (up to 25% off now!)

Happy Good Friday to all of you!! Today is all about these menswear inspired stripes turned feminine with this one-shoulder ruffled Milly top. I just can't get enough of anything and everything stripes this season, and especially on this top where they are accented with blue, white, and black! It's no secret that I am loving all things blue right now. I haven't always been a huge fan of the color blue, but oh my word I can't get enough of it this Spring! If I haven't convinced you yet that you need a denim mini, I hope this post does. I purchased this exact skirt in white too, and I have been wearing them both nonstop. When the temps warm up, they will be your best friend when you don't wanna slip on those jeans that will make you sweat. Humidity and jeans do not mix, and that's when I'll be reaching for these denim minis. Also, my favorite Vanessa Mooney tassel earrings are on sale right now. These earrings were one of the best purchases I've made for the Spring and Summer months, as they literally go with everything! You won't regret getting them! Wishing you a great Easter weekend! It is supposed to be 85 degrees here on Sunday, and I could not be happier! I live for the warmer months!! Happy Easter! XO

Dreaming of a Tropical Vacay

Dress: Available here, here, and here (under $100!)
Heels: Steve Madden | Clutch: Similar here
Earrings: Vanessa Mooney | Lips: Clé de Peau

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! It was beautiful here in DC! We watched a lot of basketball on Saturday at one of our favorite neighborhood spots, Blue Jacket, which I highly recommend if you are ever in the area. Especially if you're with your significant other... it's a man's dream! They brew all of their own beer, serve delicious bar bites, and the atmosphere is a lot of fun - a little rustic but swanky! Yesterday, we spent most of the day outside enjoying the sunshine and amazing weather! It was the first time we were able to shoot some Spring looks and not actually freeze while doing it! Today, I am all about this bright white little number. I am loving how the lace details, cut-out back, and bell sleeves kick this little white dress up a notch. I decided to keep my accessories simple with my favorite white tassel earrings since the background of these photos is so colorful and just to die for! We took these photos at the US Botanic Gardens, and I was in awe the entire time. The rain forest room was absolutely breathtaking. However, I think you could style this dress with some super fun and colorful earrings to top it off perfectly. I have linked several below that I'm loving! I hope you have a great Monday!! XO
